Program Purpose:
To provide affordable, professional trainings to the local therapeutic community.
History:
The first conference was held in May of 1990 as a joint venture with UCSC.
The topic was "Coping with Suicide: Strategies for the 1990's." The
Santa Cruz Suicide Prevention Program had just merged with Family
Service Agency and the topic was of interest to therapists. It was
a tremendous success. Starting with two conferences a year in 1990
and 1991, the program has expanded to eight to nine conferences a year,
and serves Santa Cruz and the surrounding counties.

Certified to issue Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) to psychologists, MFTs, LCSWs, PhDs, and nurses.
